The Bartramian Audubon Society is seeking scholarship applicants for the 2007 Giant Eagle Maine Audubon Camp, Workshop for Educators in Hog Island, Maine, and Take PART at High Pond Audubon Camp, Vermont

The Workshop for Educators is a week-long session for both science and nonscience educators interested in incorporating environmental education into their lesson plans.

Take PART focuses on Audubon upon research for teenagers and professional researchers. Each participant will apply for a team, who will then assist a scientist in an ongoing conservation project.

The scholarship covers cost of the camp excluding the registration fee, which may be reimbursed to scholarship winners if they choose to share their experiences at a Bartramian Audubon Society meeting.

PITTSBURGH — The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Pennsylvania and Southern Virginia is now seeking volunteers to serve on wish teams.Team members serve as liaisons between foundation staff and families and participate in fundraising programs. Volunteers must be 21 or older and be able to pass a criminal-background check.

WEST SUNBURY — AShow Down in the Country concert will be held from 10 a.m. to midnight Saturday at Peaceful Valley Campground, 231 Peaceful Valley Road.The concert benefits a family associated with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
