Lance and Megan Nimmo

Megan Smith of Slippery Rock and Lance Nimmo of New Castle were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. July 1 at First Baptist Church in Butler. The Rev. Dave Maitland officiated. A reception was held at The New Englander.

The bride is the daughter of Jay and Nancy Smith of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Bob and Joni Nimmo of New Castle.

The matron of honor was Kim Lewis of Zelienople. Bridesmaids included Nicole Sebastian of Cranberry Township; Jami Nimmo of New Castle; Jaime Kocho and Molly Smith, both of Butler; Lindsay Weber of Pittsburgh; and Erin Snyder of Atlanta. The flower girl was Torrance Sebastian of Cranberry Township.

Performing the duties of best man was Bobby Nimmo of New Castle. Ushers included Frank Cunningham of New Castle; Jay Garrett of Mooresville, N.C.; A.J. Nastasi of Woodbury; Jeff Martin of Washington, D.C.; Zac Dillon of Smithfield; and Lawrence Tisdall of New York City.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Butler High School and a 2006 graduate of Slippery Rock University, where she earned a bachelor's degree. She works for Laurel High School in New Castle and as a consultant for Mary Kay.

The bridegroom graduated in 1998 from Laurel High School and in 2003 from West Virginia University, earning a bachelor's degree in finance. He works for Ameritas Ocacia in Pittsburgh.

The couple took a honeymoon cruise to the Caribbean and is now making their home in New Castle.
