BUTLER TWP — Free health screenings will be offered from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Wal-Mart Supercenter, 400 Butler Commons.As part of the store's Diabetes Aware and Care event, screenings will analyze a participant's risk of diabetes.

A rabies clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 148 Rockdale Road, near Thorn Creek Church.Cost is $8 per animal and all pets should be on a leash or in a carrier. Vaccines will be administered by Dr. Paul Eismann.Proceeds from the event benefit Hope House Ministries.
SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock and Harrisville volunteer fire companies will host a Sportsman's Night Saturday at the Slippery Rock Fire Hall.Admission is a $10 donation and the event will include cash and gun raffles.Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the first drawing will be held at 6:30 p.m. Participants must be 21 and older.
