Davies

Lloyd Evan Davies Sr., 82, of Richmond, Va., formerly of Cabot, died July 15 after a brief illness.

He was a graduate of Winfield Township High School and a Navy veteran of World War II.

Mr. Davies graduated in 1951 from the Richmond Professional Institute, now Virginia Commonwealth University, with a degree in fine arts. After retiring in 1989 from a career in the printing business in Virginia, he gained widespread recognition for his talents in photography and digital art.

His wife, Anne Moss Davies, preceded him in death.

He is survived by three children, Lloyd Evan Davies Jr., Joane Williams and Beth Harrell; and six grandchildren.

<B>DAVIES</B> — A private burial ceremony was July 22 at Burke's Garden, Va., for Lloyd Evans Davies Sr., who died Saturday, July 15, 2006.Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Richmond for the church's arts commission.
