George F. Hartle
George F. Hartle, 55, of Euclid Road went to be with our Lord and his son, Randy, on Monday after a long battle with lung cancer.
Born March 9, 1951, in Butler, he was a son of Betty Mae Parkinson Hartle and the late George Elmer Hartle.
He had been a truck driver for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. He had also driven for other companies and worked in landscaping.
Mr. Hartle was a disabled Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the VFW and American Legion posts in Butler.
He was a member of the Butler Wesleyan Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife Sara Jean Everetts Hartle, whom he married Aug. 22, 1969; a son, Christopher F. Hartle of Alexandria, Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Tim (Georgia S.) Yelton of Lancaster, S.C., and Mrs. John (Becky J.) Deal of Butler; and two granddaughters, Madison and Merideth Yelton of Lancaster, S.C.
He also is survived by his mother of Butler; three sisters, Mrs. Joe (Rose) Stephenson of Prospect and Mrs. Dana (Sally) Perkins and Mrs. Tom (Nancy) Guidotti, both of Butler; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Mark Hartle of Freedom, and Jim and April Hartle of Butler; in-laws, William and Delphine Everetts, Mary Ann Deal and Howard and Bobbie Cox, all of Butler; and 31 nieces and nephews.
A son, Randy E. Hartle, died Oct. 19, 2002.
<B>HARTLE </B>— Friends of George F. Hartle, who died Monday, Aug. 14, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Lynn, his church pastor, officiating.
