Fischer

Robert George Fischer, 79, of Cabot, formerly of Edgewood and of Fairfield Glade, Tenn., died early today at his home.

Born Aug. 3, 1927, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of George F. and Emma M. Ventker Fischer.

He had been a quality controller at Flowers Bakery.

Mr. Fischer was a member of the First Trinity Lutheran Church, Oakland.

Surviving are his wife, Verlee Lynch Fischer, whom he married Nov. 24, 1949; a son, Robert C. Fischer of Butler; a daughter, Dian V. Fischer of Alyso Viejo, Calif.; a brother, Roy Fischer of Cabot, and a sister, Louise Fischer Spackman of Pittsburgh. He also is survived by a grandson, three great-grandchildren and two step-granddaughters.

<B>FISCHER </B>— Friends of Robert George Fischer, who died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the<B> Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.
