Dolores T. Steigerwald

Steigerwald

Dolores T. Steigerwald, 74, of 143 Sterett Road, Grove City, formerly of Wexford, died at 3:42 a.m. Tuesday at her home, surrounded by loved ones, following an eight-year illness.

Born March 13, 1932, in Reading, Pa., she was the daughter of Lilliam Rinko.

She was a homemaker and attended the Church of the Beloved Disciple in Grove City.

She was a 1949 graduate of Westview High School in Allegheny County. She was a member of the Rosary Altar Society, the church choir director for 37 years, and the church soloist.

She had a profound love for her family, friends, music and the performing arts.

She was also a wedding cake baker for years.

Surviving are five children, James A. Steigerwald, Jr. and his wife, Patricia, of Wilmington, N.C., Richard P. Steigerwald and his wife, Mary Lou Brunner, of Grove City, Jeffrey A. Steigerwald and his wife, Rhonda, of Mercer, Debra J. Prindle and her husband, Mark, of Binghamton, N.Y., and Stephen M. Steigerwald, Sr. and his wife, Melinda, of Grove City; a brother, Joseph Fischetti and his wife, Jane, of St. Louis, Mo.; and a cousin, Carol Patsilevas of Pittsburgh.

Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, Michelle Santom, Ethan Steigerwald, Joseph Steigerwald, Stephen Steigerwald, Jr. and Sarah Steigerwald, all of Grove City, Heather Caldwell and Jenny Boozell, both of North Carolina, Peter Fisher of Butler, Jeffrey Steigerwald, Jr. of Franklin, Jennifer Steigerwald of Mercer, and Tamara Fortenbaugh of Binghamton, N.Y.; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother; her husband, James A. Steigerwald, whom she married Aug. 5, 1950, and who died April 8, 2006; and an aunt, Steffie Caldwell, who raised her from age 14.

Steigerwald, who died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at the <B>Cunningham Funeral Home,</B> 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Church of the Beloved Disciple, Grove City.Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Harrisville.Memorial tributes may be made to A.L.S., 100 W.
