Glenn Crytzer II recently completed a six-week study program at Frei University in Berlin with composer Samuel Adler. He was one of 15 composers chosen for the program.The son of Glenn and Lynn Crytzer of Center Township, he is a 1999 graduate of Butler High School. He also holds a bachelor's degree in music composition from Florida State University and a master's degree in music composition from the Cleveland Institute of Music.He is amember of the Society of Composers, the National Association of Composers, Chamber Music America and the Northeast Ohio Early Jas Society.———

Melissa Forter Bahleda, daughter of John and Ruth Forter of Butler, has been selected as one of six finalists in Glamour Magazine's Moving Forward Contest.Bahleda was named one of two finalists in the Mountain Mover category for her work in animal welfare and environmental conservation.A1987 graduate of Butler High School, she and her husband Tom reside in Shenandoah, Va.Her name appeared in the September issue of Glamour. Readers will vote on finalists and the winner will receive a 2007 Toyota Hybrid vehicle and a paid trip to New York City.
