Christ Community U.M.The fall worship schedule begins this weekend Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, Butler Township. Services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. Sundays. Contemporary services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Sundays. Blood pressure screenings will follow all services.A pig roast will be held Saturday on the church lawn. Food service will begin at 4 p.m. Tickets are available at the church office or at the door. Christ's OutreachBeth Yost and Patty Helms will provide music for the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service at Christ's Outreach Church, 120 Walker Avenue. The Board of Directors will meet following the service.A gathering of bow hunters will be held at 6 p.m. today at the home of Tim Huff. Participants will share tips, practice shooting and fellowship. The format for this fall's dinners have changed to the following — the second Wednesday of the month will be a potluck meal, and the last Wednesday of the month will be a pizza and salad meal. A sign-up calendar is available in the kitchen for volunteers willing to make a meal on the alternating Wednesdays. Volunteers for desserts and cleanup are also welcome.The new Sunday school rooms are finished. Volunteers are needed to paint and stain. Community AllianceThe Community Women's Fall Kickoff will be held from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Community Alliance Church, 800 Mercer Road, Center Township. Breakfast will be served from 8 to 8:45 a.m. The program will follow. Tickets are $6.

Community LifeCommunity Life Church, which meets at McQuistion Elementary School, will have an all-church picnic and pig roast Sunday at the Masonic Shelter in Alameda Park's. The event will begin with an outdoor service at 11 a.m. The picnic will follow at noon.The church will provide meat, drinks and tableware. Participants should take a large side dish to share.

Covenant PresbyWelcome back Sunday will be observed this weekend at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St. Acontinental breakfast will begin at 9 a.m. Sunday in the Assembly Room. St. John's ReformedRally Day will be observed this weekend at St. John's Reformed Church, Route 68 at Benbrook Road, Butler Township. The annual corn roast and square dance will be held at the church picnic shelter. The hay ride will be at 6:30 p.m., the corn roast at 7:30 p.m. and the square dance from 8:30-10 p.m.Rally Day and Promotion Sunday will begin with breakfast at 9:45 a.m. Church committees are reorganizing for the fall season and will have information tables at the back of the church for those interested in participating.

St. Mark's Evangelical LutheranSt. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., will host a Communion service at 6 p.m. Saturday. Springdale LutheranRally Day and No Excuse Sunday will be held this week at Springdale Lutheran Church, 1061 Mahood Road, Concord Township. West Sunbury U.P.Rally Day will be celebrated Sunday at West Sunbury United Presbyterian Church, 215 East Church St., West Sunbury, A continental breakfast will be served at 9 a.m. in the social hall. At 9:30 a.m. Sunday school classes begin.During the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service, the congregation will celebrate the "Blessing of the Backpacks." Members should take their backpacks, book bags, briefcases or other items carried to school or work. Members are also encouraged to take school supplies to fill the backpacks on the Chancel steps. These backpacks will be donated to children in need of the supplies.Immediately following the worship service, the Outreach Committee will host a picnic and pep rally on the lawn. Participants should wear their favorite team jersey.September Devotional Guides are available in the back of the sanctuary.The church continues to collect the crackers, toothpaste, toothbrushes and shampoo for the Moniteau Food Pantry.

White Oak Springs PresbyWhite Oak Springs Presbyterian Church, 102 Shannon Road, Renfrew, will celebrate Kickoff Sunday during the 9:45 a.m. Sunday service. After the 11 a.m. Sunday school, a picnic lunch will be served on the lawn. Members and guests are invited. If weather is inclement, the picnic will be held in Backhaus Hall.

Zion LutheranSunday school will resume at 10 a.m. Sunday at Zion Lutheran Church, 266 Zion Church Road, Concord Township.Rally Day and No Excuse Sunday will be observed at the 9 a.m. Sunday service. Holy Communion will be shared.
