Pope Benedict XVI prayed to the Virgin Mary, wishing for a renewed season of faith and progress for the German people as he prepares to travel to his native country. The pope leaves Sept. 9 for a five-day trip which will take him back to his native Bavaria, including stops in Munich and the village of Marktl am Inn, where he was born.
