Justin and Joy Galan

Butler residents Joy Pennington and Justin Galan were united in marriage at 2:30 p.m. June 3 at First Presbyterian Church in Parker. The Rev. Richard Anschutz officiated. A reception followed at the Sugarcreek Township Fire Hall.

The bride is the daughter of Douglas and Kimberly Pennington of Parker. Parents of the bridegroom are Van and Marsha Galan of Herman.

The matron of honor was Crystal Burrows of Fenelton. Bridesmaids included Jamie Cook of Stoneboro, Ginnie Fleming of Emlenton, Carolyn Confer of Pittsburgh and Terri Pennington of Bruin. The flower girl was Isabelle Vogel of Butler.

Performing the duties of best man was Bryan Michel of Butler. Groomsmen included Doug Pennington of Chicora, Patrick Marron of Emlenton, Wayne Burrows of Fenelton and Brandon Galan of Buffalo, N.Y. Ushers included Jeremy Pennington of Butler and Patrick Moore of Pittsburgh. The ring bearer was Joey Michel of Fenelton.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, earning a bachelor's degree. She works at U.S. Investigations Services in Boyers.

The bridegroom graduated in 1998 from Butler High School. He works for Indspec Chemical in Petrolia.

Following a honeymoon trip to the Sandals Resort in St. Lucia, the couple is making their home in Center Township.
