Snyder, Rabbitt
Tammie Snyder and Timothy Rabbitt, both of Butler, exchanged wedding vows at 3:30 p.m. July 1 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Center Township. The Rev. Tom Pierotti officiated. A reception followed at American Legion Post 778.
The bride is the daughter of Ralph and Margie Snyder of Butler. The bridegroom's parents are Tom Rabbitt of Chicora and Nancy Kieffer of Butler.
Serving the bride as matron of honor was Andrea Lucas of Butler. Bridesmaids were Lauri Gerstner of Pittsburgh, Heather Fortuna of Harmar, Desiree Rotondo of Baden, Melissa Shaffer of Salix and Katrina Wehring of Pittsburgh. Taylor Shaffer and Sydney Shaffer, both of Salix were flower girls.
Serving the bridegroom as best man was Thomas Rabbitt of Chicora. Ushers were Edward Brothers of Texas; William Cress and Michael Dunmyre, both of Butler; and Daniel Haid and Donald McCoullough, both of Chicora. The ring bearer was Dustin Swanson of New Holland.
The bride is a 1990 graduate of Butler High School. She also earned a bachelor's degree from Clarion University in 1994 and a master's degree in 1999 from George Washington University. She is employed by the Freeport School District.
The bridegroom graduated in 1990 from Karns City High School. He attended Rochester Institute of Technology from 1990 to 1993. He works for Advanced Auto Parts.
The couple took a wedding trip to England, Scotland and Wales. They are making their home in Butler.
