7:19 p.m. Friday — Cars driven by Joseph Davies, 45, of Sharpsvile, Mercer County, and Olive Slee, 64, of Butler collided at West Jefferson and South Washington streets. Both drivers and a passenger in Davies' car, Christine Davies, 44, of Sharpsville, suffered minor injures. All the occupants were wearing seat belts.
10:20 p.m. Saturday — Thomas KainardoIII, 45, of Geneva, Ohio, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after the motorcycle he was driving crashed and overturned on Route 356.Kainaroi suffered minor injuries but declined treatment. Debbie Murr, 44, of Pittsburgh, a passenger on the motorcycle, suffered a broken left leg. She was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital. Neither Kainaroi nor Murr was wearing a helmet.In addition to DUI, Kainaroi is charged with driving too fast for conditions.1:05 a.m. Saturday — Gregory McCardle, 25, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 356 at the Point Plaza.11:55 p.m. Friday — Christopher Cicco, 34, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 356 at the Point Plaza.State Police, Butler11:30 p.m. Tuesday — William Scott Meals, no age given, of Butler was arrested following a disturbance at the Beacon Lite Trailer Park in Center Township. Meals is charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.11:30 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Rachel Gunner, 18, of Saxonburg struck a tree and rolled over along Whitaker Drive in Jefferson Township. Gunner, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.
Aug. 22 — A street sign was reported missing from the intersection of East Pine and Winfield Drive.Aug. 22 — A 2002 Honda motorcycle was reported stolen between 8:30 p.m. Aug. 21 and 9:30 a.m. Aug. 22.Aug. 17 — Jeffrey Bell, 51, of Gregg Street, told police his wallet, a cell phone and prescription medication were taken from his vehicle between 9 and 9:30 p.m. The vehicle was parked by the Forker Field House on Walnut Street.Aug. 17 — Jesse Craig Underwood, 19, of College Avenue was arrested for receiving stolen property. The arrest stemmed from a motor vehicle theft on West Washington Boulevard.Underwood was jailed in lieu of a $25,000 bond.Aug. 19 — James Surrena, of State Street reported a .380 caliber handgun stolen from his vehicle while it was parked beside his residence. The theft is thought to have occurred sometime between Aug. 11 and Aug. 19.Aug. 18 — Police charged James Aiken, 39, of 308 Elm Street with passing $215 in bad checks to Grove City Borough.Aug. 17 — Two vehicles were entered on Opre Avenue. Both vehicles were unlocked and parked in the driveway. Victims were Karen Feather, 37, and Martin Tkacik, 30, both of Opre Avenue. Tkacik said two MP3 players were stolen from his car. Feather said the contents of her vehicle were undisturbed. Two suspects have been identified, but names will not be released until police file charges.Aug. 17 — Police recovered a black walkie talkie. Anyone wishing to claim the item should contact the police department.Aug 16 — A suspect entered a vehicle on Lincoln Avenue during the middle of the night and removed a set of keys from the ignition.Aug. 16 — Jeff Badger, 49, of Bessemer Avenue reported that a portable radio was taken from his vehicle.Aug. 16 — Chelsea Weinel, 21, no address provided, reported a digital camera, purse and nursing books were stolen from her vehicle about 5 p.m. at Memorial Park.Aug. 16 — Shane Sanford, 43, of Edgewood Avenue told police a carton of cigarettes and a six-pack of beer was taken from his vehicle.Aug. 16 — Terri Thompson Baker, 39, of BlaineStreet reported CDs and a pair of prescription sunglasses were taken from her vehicle.Aug. 16 — Jason Limberg of Edgewood Avenue told police someone entered his vehicle and stole two cans of soda.Aug. 16 — Michael Thomas Tasker Jr., 29, of East Mercer Street was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop for speeding on West Main Street.Aug. 15 — Robert Lenhart, 47, of Terrace Avenue was arrested forDUI and careless driving following a traffic investigation on Madison Avenue.Aug. 13 — Brenda Christy, 33, of Stewart Avenue reported $40 in cash and a digital camera were taken from her car.Aug. 13 — Sherry Taylor, 40, of West Washington Boulevard was arrested for DUI on South Center Street.Aug. 8 — Police arrested Marty Aloisio, 30, of South Center Street for DUI after police stopped his car for not having its headlights on.
