4:45 p.m. Monday — A truck driven by Benjamin Cress, 18, of Butler Township and hauling a hay wagon, struck the rear of a van on Route 8 South. The collision forced the van into the rear of a car.Barbara Ravotti, 39, of Sarver, who was driving the van, suffered minor injuries. Cress was cited for careless driving. Joan Andrews, 75, of Butler was driving the car.
7:30 p.m. Tuesday — A burglar broke into Sweeper City at the Point Plaza and stole an undisclosed amount of money as well as the store's alarm system.Police said the burglar, described as having a slim to medium build and short to medium height, and wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt and shorts, broke in through a back door.
2:08 p.m. Wednesday — Cars driven by Shelly Tatask, 26, and Sherri Grazier, 54, both of Butler, collided on Route 8 near Mercer Road in Center Township. Police said Tatask, who was talking on her cell phone at the time of the crash, was cited for careless driving.8:55 p.m. Tuesday — Kenneth Lipscomb, 35, of Fenelton is accused of deliberately driving his vehicle into a parked vehicle on Route 422 in Clearfield Township. Tina Lipscomb, 31, of Fenelton was in the parked vehicle. Kenneth Lipscomb is charged with simple assault and harassment.7:15 p.m. Tuesday — A small motorcycle, gas can and umbrella were found at Bonniebrook Road and Harvest Lane in Summit Township2:44 p.m. Wednesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Gary Henry, 61, of Cabot and a car driven by Nicholas Ursiak, 38, of Homer City, Indiana County, collided at Clearfield Road and Route 422 in Clearfield Township. Henry was cited for a stop sign violation.
8:06 a.m. Wednesday — Harry Martin, 30, of New Castle was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 422 in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.
