Karen Sue Michael
Karen Sue Michael, 47, of Butler, died unexpectedly at 5:05 p.m. Friday in Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born March 10, 1959, in Butler, she was the daughter of Paul G. and Leona Rodgers Angert.
She was a graduate of Butler High School, and was taking classes at both the Butler County Community College and the Community College of Allegheny County.
She was a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs Intermediate League of Butler and a past member of the Catholic Daughters of America Drum and Bugle Corps.
During her teen years, Karen danced with the Lee Garrard School of Dance, and she danced professionally with the Kenley Players of Ohio.
She worked as a Head Start teacher for the Butler County Children's Center for the past 20 years.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Butler.
She enjoyed vacationing at the ocean and playing 500 with her family card club.
She loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest. She never hesitated to devote time to help others.
She is survived by her husband, Rocky A. Michael, whom she married March 3, 1978; two sons, Rocky A. Michael II and Ryan A. Michael, both of Butler; a daughter, Raylene A. Michael, of Butler; her parents of Butler; a brother, Paul G. Angert II and his wife, Colleen, of Woodbury, N.J.; two grandchildren, Rocky A. Michael III and Zandra Michael; two aunts; an uncle, and several nieces and nephews.
<B>MICHAEL</B> — Friends of Karen Sue Michael, who died Friday, July 21, 2006, were received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. Sunday in the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave.Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with the Rev. William Gumppe, of the First United Methodist Church officiating.Burial will be in the Butler County Memorial Park.
