3:55 a.m. Monday — Two brothers were arrested following a fight at their Maryland Avenue home that left each one injured.Charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct are Kenneth Snyder, 23, and Thomas Snyder, 18. The elder Snyder is also charged with public drunkenness; the younger brother is charged with underage drinking.Police said both men were treated at the scene for their injuries. Thomas Snyder needed further treatment at Butler Memorial Hospital.1:34 a.m. Sunday — Neil Asbaugh, 36, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence on Mercer Street. He was also cited for disregarding traffic control devices.4:34 p.m. Friday — Cars driven by Rachel Ward, 33, of Butler and Gene Reynolds, 28, of Center Township collided at Brady and Mercer streets. A passenger in Ward's car, Jordan Ward, 8, of Butler, suffered minor injuries.
1:45 a.m. Monday — A 15-year-old girl told police she was sexually assaulted by a 65-year-old man and a 12-year-old girl at an undisclosed location in Center Township. Police are investigating the report.Monday — A golf cart was taken from a garage on Bonniebrook Road in Summit Township. Police later found the cart, owned by John Rome of Butler, in a field about 500 yards south of the Serene Valley Golf Course.11 p.m. Sunday — Emile Boulanger, no age given, of Worthington, Armstrong County was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Roue 8 in Penn Township.8:05 p.m. Sunday — Edward Buffington, 51, of Butler was arrested for allegedly assaulting a 50-year-old woman, who police did not identify, during a domestic dispute at Sunbury Estates in Center Township. Buffington faces charges of simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment.6 p.m. Sunday — A set of keys on a pink key chain was found in the 700 block of Brownsdale Road in Forward Township. The owner can claim the property by calling the barracks at 724-284-8100.Sunday — About $3,000 in golf equipment and five cases of beer were stolen between 9 a.m. Saturday and 6:45 a.m. Sunday in a burglary at the Serene Valley Golf Course garage and clubhouse on Bonniebrook Road.Saturday — Artwork was taken from a pole building used as an art studio in a burglary between Aug. 5 and Saturday on Hilderbrand Road in Donegal Township.Stolen were three family photos held in antique frames as well as an eight-point buck deer mount. Angela Ciotti of Allison Park, Allegheny County, owns the property.Saturday — An unknown driver between 12:01 and noon crashed an unidentified vehicle into a garage on Carbon Center Road in Summit Township and drove away following the wreck. Judith Montage of Chicora owns the garage.Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the barracks at 724-284-8100.Saturday — Cars driven by Gordon Thompson, no age given, of Renfrew and Shirley Desantis, no age given, of Butler collided on Route 8 in Center Township.Saturday — Ayellow, 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport pickup was stolen between 5:30 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday from Quality Car Sales on North Main Street Extension in Center Township.The car had no license plate and it has a blue "SPORT" decal on both sides of the hood. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call police.7:10 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Charles Weber, 64, of Jefferson Township struck a tree along Herman Road near Stutz Road in Summit Township. Weber, who was wearing a seat belt, was flown by medical helicopter with moderate injuries to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.2:50 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Theresa Kelly, 27, of Butler struck a tree along Route 308 near Branchton Road in Cherry Township.Wednesday — John Penrod, 32, of Butler was injured when he crashed his motorcycle while trying to avoid a car in front of him on Henricks Road in Center Township.Penrod, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown off the motorcycle, which then slid into the car. Bernadette Borczyk, 75, of Parker was driving the car, which had slowed to allow a squirrel to cross the road.Penrod, who suffered moderate injuries, was cited for an undisclosed traffic violation.
