3:57 a.m. Saturday — Autumn Martin, 31, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence on South Washington Street. She was also cited for a flashing signal violation.2:30 p.m. Thursday — A pickup truck driven by Howard Pisor, 37, of Hilliards and a car driven by Rena Minteer, 63, of East Butler collided at East Jefferson and Kittanning streets. Pisor and Chad Hair, 23, of Hilliards, passenger in the pickup, suffered minor injuries; both men were wearing seat belts.12:01 p.m. Thursday — Jerome Burke, 39, was arrested for allegedly assaulting Nicole Tarr, 36, and threatening her with a knife during a domestic dispute at his East Locust Street apartment. He is charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.Thursday — Benjamin Eakin was arraigned on drug-related charges stemming from an Aug. 11 traffic stop on West Jefferson Street.Police said Eakin was a passenger in the car that was pulled over for an expired registration. Officers arrested Eakin when it was learned he was wanted on a bench warrant.A search found him with a scale containing suspected marijuana residue in one pocket, and a plastic baggie containing hydroxyzine, an antihistamine for which he did not have a prescription.A search of the car later turned up several baggies, each containing between 3.6 and 4 grams of suspected marijuana, stuffed in the back seat cushion where Eakin was seated, police said.Eakin was arraigned on charges of possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bond.

8:45 p.m. Saturday — William Martinez, 57, of West Sunbury was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Mahood Road near Route 308 in Clay Township.5:08 p.m. Saturday — Cars driven by Jessica Desch, 20, of Cabot and Marine Cain, 19, of Chicora collided on Carbon Center Road in Clearfield Township. Cain, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.2:05 a.m. Saturday — A pickup truck driven by Jeffrey Bastian, 41, of Parker was traveling on Route 68 in Chicora when it struck three legally parked vehicles. Bastian was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.1:54 p.m. Friday — John Gizienski, age unavailable, reported the theft of a Die Hard 27582 boat battery from his vehicle while it was parked at 248 Victory Road in Clinton Township. Anyone with information about the theft, call state police at 724-284-8100.Friday — Brian Benscoter reported the theft of a black 1997 Dodge Neon with the registration FVG7993, tools and other items from 106 Railroad St. in Washington Township that occurred between 1 and 1:30 a.m. Anyone with information about the theft should call state police at 724-284-8100.7:45 a.m. Friday — State police are investigating the death of Penny Michelle Norris, 37, at 141 Queens Junction Road in Clay Township. No foul play is suspected. Autopsy and toxicology reports are pending.Friday — Roger B. Yohe, 50, of East Butler reported the theft of a handheld propane torch and a toolbox with various tools from his Grant Avenue garage, worth a total of $500, that occurred between 5 p.m. Monday and 4:45 p.m. Friday. Anyone with information about the theft should call police at 724-284-8100.Friday — Doris Varner, 82, reported an unknown person damaged the aluminum siding on her Center Township house with rocks and sidewalk chalk between 9 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday. Anyone with information about the incident should call police at 724-284-8100.Friday — Keys to a vehicle, a Dewalt electric impact gun, two bicycles and a gas cap from a lawn mower were stolen between Tuesday and Friday from a New Castle Road home in Franklin Township. Ricks Mobile Home Service and Albert McKnight Jr. of Prospect own the stolen property.4:52 p.m. Wednesday — Apickup truck driven by a 17-year-old Fenelton boy, who police did not identity, struck a utility pole along McLafferty Road in Clearfield Township. The boy was cited for driving too fast for conditions.Butler Twp Police3:55 p.m. Saturday — A pickup truck driven by Martin Barckhoff Jr., 23, of New Brighton, Beaver County, crashed into a cement center barrier on Route 422 West.The pickup, which was towing a U-Haul trailer, spun around and hit a guardrail, severing the guardrail and rolling over the hillside. Barckhoff and two passengers, all wearing seat belts, were not injured in the crash that damaged about 364 feet of guardrail.The Mercer Road Volunteer Fire Department assisted police at the crash site.
