Building projects: Renovation of the Junior/Senior High School kitchen and cafeteria is scheduled to be complete by the beginning os the school year. A new roof was installed this summer on the Junior/Senior High gymnasium.

After school tutoring will be available to students in reading and mathematics for two days each week. The district will continue to expand the use of technology with interactive whiteboards and wireless technologies in resource areas that allow for collaborative class projects. Before-school and after-school day care will continue to be available at the Freeport Kindergarten Center through the Allegheny Valley YMCA.At the secondary schools, teachers will be using a new computerized grading and attendance system that will connect to Edline, a parent information tool that allows parents to view their child's grades online. Students will have new course materials in many program areas. The Foreign Langueage department will introduce new texts at all levels of the French program. The science and social studies departments will also see new texts and resource materials that enhance the curriculum. The music department will be offering an additional course in theory. The English department will continue to utilize online writing software to develop advanced writing skills. In addition to courses already available to student to earn college credit fromCalifornia University of Pennsylvania, the district has also partnered with Indiana University of Pennsylvania to offer dual-enrollment classes for student to earn additional college credits in other program areas.<B>Building projects</B>: Phase I of the South Buffalo Elementary School has been completed and students will attend classes in the newly constructed areas at the start of school.
