GRADUATES
Crystal Young received a bachelor's degree in chemistry and Spanish from Washington and Jefferson College recently.She was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, varsity cheerleading squad and the student affiliation of the American Chemical Society.She also served as a Special Olympics basketball volunteer and completed computational chemistry research at Duquesne University.She was an Alpha Scholar, member of Phi Beta Kappa and received the Outstanding Senior Chemistry Award and Jesse W. Lazear Book Prize in Chemistry.A Presidential Scholar, Dean's List Scholar, president of Sigma Delta Pi and president of Gamma Sigma Epsilon, she received the J. Adolph Scmitz Prize in Languages for Spanish, Nicholas C. and Josephine C. Tucci Award for Outstanding Junior Chemistry Major, Adlai Michaels Prize for an Outstanding Sophomore Chemistry Major, and Outstanding Freshman Chemistry Award.A graduate of Butler Area Senior High School, Young is the daughter of Debra and Gary Young of Butler.
———<B>Anthony Weleski</B> graduated from Cedarville University with a bachelor of arts degree in international studies-social science.Weleski, who was homeschooled, is the son of Regis and Diane Weleski of Fenelton.
———<B>Lyndsey McCaskey</B> received a bachelor's degree in cell/molecular biology from Washington and Jefferson College recently.As a student, she was the recipient of the Presidential Scholarship Award, an Alpha Scholar and a member of the Dean's List every semester. She was a member of Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society and Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and was the recipient of the Biology Departmental Book Award and Religious Studies Departmental Book Award.She was active in the soccer team and served as vice president of the Pre-Health Professions Society and standards committee officer for Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity.A graduate of Butler Senior High School, she is the daughter of Dr. Theodore and Nancy McCaskey of Butler.McCaskey plans to attend Virginia Commonwealth University of Dentistry.
———<B>Heidi Krofft</B> of Butler graduated from the University of Delaware recently, earning a bachelor of arts degree from the College of Arts and Sciences.
