11:30 p.m. Tuesday — Candice Cady, 23, was charged with simple assault and harassment stemming from a dispute with a neighbor outside their West Brady Street homes. Police said Cady allegedly assaulted 26-year-old Megan Kernicky.9:23 p.m. Tuesday — Paul Chupka, 48, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence on West Wayne Street.
3:28 p.m. Wednesday — A dump truck driven by Richard Dierfield, 20, of New Castle and a car driven by Roman Young, 24, of Petrolia collided on Route 422 and Bonniebrook Road in Summit Township. Dierfield was cited for running a red light.Wednesday — Three guns were stolen between 1 p.m. Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. Wednesday from a truck parked at the Route 173 home of Larry McMillin in Slippery Rock. Adescription of the stolen guns was not available this morning.Wednesday — A Dell laptop computer and a Ben Pearson bow with 12 graphite arrows were taken between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30 a.m. Wednesday from an unlocked vehicle at the Sechan Drive home of Steven Arsey in Muddy Creek Township. The stolen property is valued at $1,470.Wednesday — Police reported they are investigating a burglary last month at the Doctor Lane home of John Stobert in Connoquenessing Township. Anumber of tools were taken in the break-in between July 16 and 18.5 a.m. Tuesday — Police are seeking the driver of a 1988 Chevrolet Cavalier that struck a utility pole along Route 138 near Route 308 in Concord Township. The driver fled before police got there.Monday — Police reported three motorists were arrested for driving more than 30 mph over the posted speed on roads in Butler County last month. Gordon Graham, no age given, of Butler posted the top speed, traveling 102 mph in a 65 mph zone, police said.
Monday — A solar yard sign with the number "234" on it was stolen between 2:30 and 3 a.m. from the Maple Grove Road home of Ronald Schreckengost in Rimersburg, Clarion County.
