Bongiorno, Donovan
Erin Bongiorno and Brian Donovan, both of Baltimore, were united in marriage Oct. 8 at the First Assembly of God Church in Erie. The Rev. Jack Risner officiated. A reception followed at Union Station in Erie.
The bride is the daughter of John and Sandra Bongiorno of Springfield, Mo. Parents of the bridegroom are Jere and Novelle Donovan of Harrisville.
The maid of honor was Christy Risner of Durban, South Africa. Bridesmaids included Brittany Braun of Torrance, Calif.; Meghan Donovan of Harrisville; Megan Evers of Elkhart, Ind.; Brianne Dobson of Watsonville, Calif.; Erica Frank of Erie; Kara Hoffman of Tucson, Ariz.; and Jen Schoening of Westminster, Calif. The flower girl was Joclyn Gamble of Springfield, Mo.
Performing the duties of best man was Shane Melina of Longview, Texas. Ushers included David Bongiorno of Arusha, Tanzania; Colin Donovan of Harrisville; Jeremy Donovan of Austin, Texas; Jon Fitzpatrick of Asheville, N.C.; Ryan Hauser and Mark Wolstoncroft, both of Pittsburgh; and Ben Hoffman of Tucson. The ring bearers were Luke Bongiorno and Joshua Porter.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of McDowell High School and a 2002 graduate of Vanguard University of Southern California. She works as a consultant in Washington, D.C.
The bridegroom graduated in 1997 from Slippery Rock High School and in 2001 from Grove City College. He works for Motorola in Columbia, Md.
Following a honeymoon trip to St. John, in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the couple is making their home in Baltimore.
