John O. McCandless, 87, of the South Hills, Upper St. Clair, died Monday.

He is survived by three sons, John O. McCandless Jr. of Meadville, Richard I. McCandless of Butler and Daniel K. McCandless of Elizabeth; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A brother, David McCandless, also survives.

His wife, Rebecca Agnew McCandless, and a brother, Harry McCandless, preceded him in death.
