'Seussical' to take stage at BC3

The Cat in the Hat, played by Brian Mueller, gets some rough treatment from Jojo, portrayed by Jordan Meals, in the Butler Summer Dramatics musical production of "Seussical." The show, based on the works of Dr. Seuss, will take the stage at Butler County Community College from Aug. 3 to 6.

More than 90 children and a host of volunteers are putting the finishing touches on this year's Butler Summer Dramatics musical program, "Seussical."

The show opens Aug. 3 and runs through Aug. 6 at the Succop Theater at the Butler County Community College.

"Seussical" is based on the works of the beloved children's author Theodore Geisel, known to the world as Dr. Seuss.

Incorporated into the tale are bits and pieces of at least 14 Seuss classics, including "Horton Hears a Who," "Horton Hatches the Egg," "Gertrude McFuzz," "The Butter Battle Book," "If I Ran the Circus," "McElligott's Pool," "I Had Trouble in Getting to Solla Sollew" and of course "The Cat in the Hat."
