Richard Fleeger of Center Township was given the Butler County Pomona Grange Non-Granger Community Service Award at a service held recently at Unionville Presbyterian Church.The retired Armco employee served as a junior master of the Unionville Junior Grange and volunteers at Butler County granges and various churches.———

<B>Gregory Barger</B> of Petrolia, and <B>Debra Wickline</B> of Butler were among the eight students graduating in June from the ACMH hospital School of Radiologic Technology.———

<B>Emily Grecco</B> of Butler was recently crowned Junior Miss Riverfest 2006. The pageant is part of festivities being held for the East Brady Riverfest, set for Friday through Sunday. She is the daughter of Vince and Debbie Grecco.———

<B>Chicora Medical Center </B>held its annual family picnic recently, attended by 325 residents and families.Members of the Chicora Medical Center Court, announced at the picnic, included <B>Beryl Edwards, Vivian French, Modina Locklin, Bill Curtis, Leonard Baxter</B> and <B>Norman Schweitzer</B>.At the conclusion of the picnic, Schweitzer and French were named king and queen of the picnic.———

<B>Susan Hunter</B> was named Junior Woman of the Year recently by the Junior Women's Club of Butler.She was chosen for service to the club and community. Hunter has been active in the club's Arts, Log Book and Twilight Magic programs.Ateacher at Meridian Elementary School, she is also involved in after-school tutoring, serves as a spokesperson for MADD events and taught Sunday school at her church. She also recently organized a program to provide backpacks for children in need in the Butler Area.Hunter serves as recording secretary for the Junior Women's Club.She and her family reside in Butler.———

<B>The Venture Club of North Pittsburgh</B> recently received a $2,500 grant from Soroptimist International of the Americas to establish a career resource center at one of Glade Run Lutheran Services' residential units in Zelienople.The center will benefit teenage girls living on campus by providing them with computer resources as well as a speaker program to educate them on computers and career opportunities.For information about the Venture Club, a community service and volunteer organization for working women, call 412-828-9168.———

Winners at the Butler Duplicate Bridge Club game held July 13 were <B>Lorraine Worsley </B>and <B>Jan Horwitz</B>. Coming in second place were <B>Polly Black </B>and <B>Alan Martin</B>.
