Graduates
Kelly Haley graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in music education and a performance honors certificate from Ohio University.While at the university, she was named a 2006 Outstanding Music Education Major and received the Dean's Scholarship, Music Talent Scholarship and Gilbert Stephenson Music Scholarship. She was also named to the dean's list each semester.Haley was active in the Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society, the university's flute choir, Golden Key National Honor Society, Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Fraternity, Sigma Alpha Iota music fraternity and Shimmering Silver Flute Quartet. She served as president of the Collegiate Music Educators National Conference, principal flute for the university's symphony orchestra and principal flute and piccolo for the wind ensemble.A 2002 graduate of Butler High School, she is the daughter of Terrence and Deborah Haley of Butler.Haley has accepted a teaching assistantship at the University of Oklahoma, where she plans to pursue a master's degree in flute performance.———
<B>Kristen Lage</B> graduated cum laude from Edinboro University recently, receiving a bachelor's degree in applied media arts.While at the university, she served as director of the advanced student film project "Edmond," featured at the student film show in 2005. She also presented several other animated films.Adean's list student, Lage was also a member of the animation club and the American Institute of Graphic Artists.A2002 graduate of Butler High School, she is the daughter of David and Diana Lage of Renfrew.Lage has accepted a position as a production designer with Threshold Digital Marketing in Santa Monica, Calif.———
<B>Chad Hartzell</B> graduated from the Basic Law Enforcement Class at Southwest Florida Public Service Academy recently.The son of Jeff and Barb Hartzell of Butler, he is a 2001 graduate of Slippery Rock High School and a 2005 graduate of St. Francis University, where he earned a degree in criminal justice.Hartzell is employed as a police officer for the City of Cape Coral, Fla.———<B>Joshua Matonak</B> of Butler graduated from Liberty University recently with a bachelor of science degree in biology.———
<B>Julie Schwab</B> graduated summa cum laude from Bucknell University recently, receiving a bachelor of science degree with honors in mechanical engineering.She is the recipient of the Ernest and Josephine Christensen Award for outstanding graduates and the President's Award for Distinguished Academic Achievement.While at the university, she served as captain of the Bison Girls Dance Team and was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, the Tau Beta Pi engineering honor society and the Mortar Board.The daughter of Jerry and Joanne Schwab, she is a 2002 graduate of Butler High School.———

<B>Barry Sexton</B> graduated cum laude from Bucknell University recently, receiving bachelor of arts degrees in biology and psychology.While at the university, he was named to the dean's list six times, was a member of the Phi Sigma Honor Society for biology and received the Pittsburgh Foundation Scholarship and the Butler Alumni Association Scholarship. <B>Jeffrey Schwab, </B>graduated from the University of Michigan School of Law recently, receiving a Juris Doctor degree.At the university, he served as executive editor of the Journal of Law Reform and was a member of the Leadership Committee of Christian Legal Society and a social chair for the Federalist Society.A 1999 graduate of Butler High School and a 2003 graduate of Grove City College, he is the son of Jerry and Joanne Schwab.Schwab has accepted a position with the law firm of Mauck and Baker in Chicago.
