The Fixx to perform BC3 show
Band members of The Fixx have stayed together since before their "Reach the Beach" days. They will grace the Succop Theater stage on Thursday.
The group for 25 years has consisted of lead vocalist Cy Curnin, guitarist Jamie West-Oram, keyboardist Rupert Greenall and drummer Adam Woods.
They've been together since signing with MCA Records in 1981 and releasing their debut album, "Shuttered Room," which produced the hit singles "Red Skies" and "Stand or Fall."
In 1983, the band released "Reach the Beach" including the singles "One Thing Leads to Another" and "Saved by Zero."
Their later albums included "Phantoms," Walkabout" and for RCA, "Calm Animals." More recently they released "Elemental," "1011 Woodland" and "Want That Life."
The concert will begin at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Butler County Community College campus theater. Tickets are $32. Call 724-284-8505 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
