2:25 a.m. Thursday — Jennifer Rose Blystone, 22, of Butler was cited for furnishing liquor to a minor and Whitney Elyse Anderson, 20, of Chicora was cited for underage consumption after police responded to a call about a drinking party at Blystone's residence at 411 N. Sixth Ave.Wednesday — James Wesley Daw, 28, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, aggravated assault by a vehicle while DUI and careless driving in connection with a May 6 accident. Police report the accident occurred when Daw's car struck a telephone pole on New Castle Street at 12:48 p.m. Following the accident, police found Daw and his passenger, Richard Dent, 39, of Butler near the car. Daw was treated at the scene by Butler Ambulance, but refused further treatment. Dent received lacerations to his forehead and complained about leg and head pain. Dent was taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital before being flown by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Police found 24 pills of various types, a contact case with a cotton ball, an empty stamp bag and a pill bottle in the car.

6:50 p.m. Thursday — An SUV driven by Aaron Savage, 18, of Harrisville and a vehicle driven by Steven Santypal, 36, of Harrisville collided on White Oak Road in Mercer Township. Santypal received minor injuries. Savage was not injured. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.6:20 a.m. Thursday — A vehicle driven by Echo Barkley, 19, of Harmony was traveling on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township when it struck a guardrail. Barkley was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.11 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Chelsea Thompson, 18, of Slippery Rock was traveling on McConnell Drive in Franklin Township when it went through a yard and hit a tree. Thompson and her passenger, Kenneth Osselborn, 17, of Butler, who both were wearing seat belts, received minor injuries. Relatives drove both occupants to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment.Sunday — A pickup truck driven by Lawrence Gates, 70, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., was traveling on Cherry Valley Road in Clinton Township when it wrecked. Gates was charged with driving under the influence.Sunday — Jessica Kutsch, 22, of Sarver was charged with theft and possession of a controlled substance after confessing to stealing prescription medicine from Kelli Bastin, 37, of Sarver and Charles Laux, 37, of Freeport at a Bear Creek Road residence in Winfield Township.Saturday — Aaron Fichter of Jefferson Township reported the theft of a $120 blue graphite pool cue and a $180 green Spider paintball gun from his residence at 354 Bullcreek Road between 11 p.m. July 14 and 7 a.m. July 15.Saturday — Christopher and Rhonda Caldwell of Cabot reported a case of access device fraud in which an unknown person used their credit card number to buy unspecified items on the Internet.

12:35 p.m. June 26 — Loretta Jean Reynolds, 62, of Grove City reported receiving a telephone call informing her she won $100,000 from a sweepstakes she entered and had to send an unspecified amount via money order to London, Ontario, Canada, to have the winnings released. Police report this is a scam and remind residents to not release any personal or banking information to anyone over the telephone nor send money to be paid any type of contest prize.

July 20 — Police are looking for the driver of a car involved in an accident with a bicycle. Bicycle rider Bryan Page, 20, of 214 S. Broad St., was making a turn onto South Broad Street from East Main Street and struck the rear of a car stopped for traffic. Both parties left the scene. Page was treated for his injuries at Grove City Medical Center.July 18 — Police are investigating the vandalism that occurred to the Campbell Substation on Liberty Street, Route 173. The building was painted with graffiti.July 14 — Thomas W. Block, 38, of Mercer was arrested on six counts of theft by deception. The thefts occurred at Advance Auto Parts, 1307 W. Main St., Grove City, where Block was employed.
