<B>BLANKETING ISSUE</B> — Girl Scout Jennie Wolfe, a sophomore at Moniteau High School, appears with many of the fleece blankets she made and donated to the Grove City Medical Center's pediatric and maternal child health departments. Wolfe undertook this 40-hour service project to earn her Silver Award. Members of Wolfe's church, West Sunbury Presbyterian, contributed money to purchased the blanket materials.

Jonathan Greenawalt of Boy Scout Troop 400 has implemented a battery recycling project as part of his service for earning his Hornaday Award.The public may drop off dead or unusable batteries at the Cranberry Municipal Center (center area).Car batteries will not be accepted. Being accepted are:• Regular batteries, such as Energizer and Duracell that are alkaline• Rechargeable batteries that contain nickel cadmium• Nickel metal hydride or Lithium Ion batteries commonly used in laptops• Lead (PB) batteries found in power tools, phones and security systemsTo recycle batteries, place them in sealed plastic bags and deposit them in the appropriated box.The recycling project will continue through September.
