Saturday — Steven Paugh of Chicora reported a hit-and-run accident in which an unknown vehicle struck his parked truck on North Monroe Street sometime before 2:30 a.m.Friday — Susan Belles of Kaufman Drive reported the theft of a silver 20-inch boys bike and a blue 20-inch boys bike from her residence at 100 Kaufman Drive between 5 p.m. Thursday and 1:25 p.m. Friday. The silver bike has the letters MXL printed on the frame and has a black rear tire and a white front tire. Each bicycle is valued at $60.
4:20 p.m. July 7 — Vehicles driven by Dennis Davis, 27, of 191 Metcalf Road, Harmony, and James E. Brandt, 29, of 242 Cooper Road, Slippery Rock, collided at the intersection of Route 19 and Little Creek Road. No injuries were reported.12:38 a.m. July 2 —- A witness in the parking lot of the Northgate Plaza off Route 19 told police she saw a white male, 40 to 50 years old with light brown hair and heavy set, loading mulch and flowers into an older white truck with an orange stripe from a storage area in front of Bi-Lo supermarket. He then drove to T & M Hardware where a second man in his 30s with a thin build loaded more merchandise into the truck and left the plaza heading north on Route 19 They had not paid for any of the items.12:16 a.m. July 1 —- Jonathan M. Gengler, 22, of 6100 Orchard Lane, Butler, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol when police stopped him on Route 528 after a patrolman saw Gengler allegedly failing to stop at the intersection of the Interstate 79 ramp at Route 528.3 a.m. June 28 —- Police said Michael Robert Gundel, 24, of 505 Daisy Court, Cranberry Township, faces multiple charges following a one-vehicle accident on Franklin Road. He lost control of his vehicle, struck a tree and left the scene. Police were able to contact him by phone to return to the scene to continue the investigation. Police said Gundel also suffered a shoulder injury, but he refused treatment.
