9 p.m. Tuesday — Andrew Amato, 21, of Meadville, Crawford County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car struck a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township.7 p.m. Tuesday — An unknown thief, described as a white man wearing a ball cap, was spotted stealing copper cable at the Prospect Road home of Robert Maranche in Franklin Township. The thief drove off in a gray or silver Chrysler LeBaron convertible.Tuesday — Someone between 3 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday broke into and vandalized the Boys and Girls Club at the Prospect Ball Fields on Country Club Road in Franklin Township.The burglar caused "substantial damage"by spray painting the building and other items inside.Tuesday — Credit cards and a driver's license were taken from a car at the West Old Route 422 home of Sean Russell in Franklin Township. The theft occurred between 4:30 p.m. Monday and 4:45 a.m. Tuesday.Saturday — Someone between 5 p.m. Friday and 11:40 a.m. Saturday shot and killed a cow on AspenRoad in Fairview Township. Dean Ray Adams of Karns City owns the cow.

4:27 p.m. Wednesday — An 11-year-old Butler boy was injured when his bicycle collided with a car at Memorial Drive and Wick Street.Timothy Butler was eastbound on Wick Street when the brakes on his bike failed. He was unable to stop at a stop sign and struck the side the side of a Ford Focus driven by Carol Sawford, 68, of Butler headed south on Memorial Drive.The boy was treated for minor injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital. No charges were filed in the crash.Tuesday — Someone overnight broke into vehicles parked at their owners' Virginia Avenue homes.About $5 in change, work keys and other miscellaneous items were taken from Lisa McBride's car. Credit cards and $12 in change was taken from Michael Rak's car.

Wednesday — Police are investigating a report of vandalism to two flower boxes on the Grove City bridge.Wednesday — Police are investigating the theft of a digital camera from Melodi Como of 241 S. Broad St., where the incident occurred.Wednesday — Police are investigating the theft of a purse, checkbook and cell phone from a car parked in the South Broad Street business district on July 8.Tuesday — Michelle Rose, 30, of 1460 Carrie Way was arrested for DUI and charged with careless driving after she lost control of her truck and hit a utility pole on George Junior Road.Monday — Jason H. Limberg, 29, of 205 Edgewood Avenue was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop on Erie Street for a speeding violation.Monday — Police are investigating a report of criminal mischief when the window was shot out of a vehicle owned by Collin Crombie of Barmore Avenue.Monday — Harry Christy Jr., 46, of Barkeyville Road was cited for disorderly conduct when he allegedly threatened another man with a bat behind 129 E. Pine Street.Monday — Nathan Allen Richar, 19, of 1037 Barkeyville Road was charged with two counts of DUI following a traffic stop on South Broad Street for speeding. He was also charged with minor prohibited from operating with any alcohol in system, driving under suspension and underage drinking.

July 5 — Two pop machines were vandalized outside the Giant Eagle in Slippery Rock. Money was stolen from the machines.Wednesday — Patrick Brydon reported $900 in CDs stolen from his unlocked vehicle while it was parked on Mulberry Avenue.Wednesday — Police are investigating the theft of a passport from a vehicle owned by Larry Hildeberand. The unlocked vehicle was parked on New Castle Street when the theft occurred.Wednesday — James Divelbiss reported an illegal entry in his unlocked vehicle when it was parked on New Castle Street. It is unclear yet if anything was stolen from the car.Wednesday — Michael Beck reported the theft of CDs from his unlocked vehicle when it was parked on New Castle Street. The CDs are valued at $300.Wednesday — Ronald William Lavery, 54, of Creek Drive was charged with retail theft for stealing beer from B and J's Coney Island on Kelly Boulevard.
