Michel, Swisher
Tricia Michel of Butler and Dave Swisher of State College were united in marriage at 2 p.m. May 20 at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman. The Rev. Michael Stumpf officiated. A reception was held at the Herman Fire Hall.
The bride is the daughter of Tom and Carol Michel of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Gary and Sue Swisher of Williamsport.
The maid of honor was the bride's sister Julia Michel of Pittsburgh. Bridesmaids included the bride's sisters Andria Michel and Maria Michel, both of Butler, and the groom's sister, Jenna Swisher of Philadelphia. The flower girl was Natalie Kriley of Butler.
Performing the duties of best man was the groom's brother Scott Swisher of Washington, D.C. Ushers included Mike Callahan of Philadelphia, Chris Seiler of Northumberland and Nate Knipe of Syracuse, N.Y.
The bride graduated in 1997 from Butler High School and in 2001 from Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, receiving a bachelor of science degree in business economics. She works as a senior underwriter at Mutual Benefit Insurance in Huntingdon.
The bridegroom is a 1997 graduate of Williamsport High School and a 2001 and 2002 graduate of Penn State University, earning a bachelor of science degree in civil and environmental engineering and a master of science degree in environmental engineering. He works as a project manager for Herbert, Rowland and Grubic Engineering in State College.
Following a honeymoon trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple is making their home in State College.
