3:30 a.m. Monday — A car was badly damaged when it ran over a 10-inch cement block that someone had intentionally placed in the center of the westbound lane on Route 58 near Campground Road in Mercer Township.Brock Elliot, 30, of Butler was driving his 2004 Saturn Ion, which sustained damaged to its undercarriage.Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.8:50 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Bridgett Wimer, 37, of Beaver Falls, Beaver County, struck a deer on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. Wider, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.May 27 — Two 15-year-old girls, who police did not identify, are accused of stealing $402 in merchandise from five stores at the Clearview Mall in Center Township. The girls face juvenile charges of retail theft and conspiracy.
3:57 p.m. Monday — Charles Arblaster, 25, of Butler was cited for causing a disturbance at the Rite Aid on South Main Street after learning his insurance was rejected for a prescription he wanted filled at the drugstore.Police said Arblaster, after being informed he'd have to pay for the prescription himself, became upset and knocked a number of items off shelves as he walked out the door. He was cited for criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.Monday — An iPod and FM converter for the device were stolen overnight from a vehicle parked at the Virginia Avenue home of John Burkett. The stolen property is valued at $270.
