John Joseph Conner, 58, died Sunday at the Veterans Medical Center in Martinsburg, W. Va.

Born in Boston, Mass., he was the son of the late James Thomas and Martha Mary Burns Conner.

Mr. Conner was a builder and construction worker.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Edith Thompson Conner; his son, John Joseph Conner, II and his wife, Leigh Ann, of Butler; two grandchildren, Taylor and Zachary Conner; a sister, Jean Plourde of Pasadena, Md.; a brother, James Conner of Maryland, and several nieces and nephews.
