Paul E. "Abe" Hickey, 78, of Butler died Monday at his home.

Born May 26, 1928, in Penn Township, he was the son of Paul M. and Mary Olive Hartman Hickey.

He, along with Butch Thomas, owned and operated his own excavating company. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his wife, Cora Jean Rogers Hickey, whom he married Nov. 20, 1948; two sons, Paul "Ed" Hickey of Butler and Dale "H.D." Hickey of Butler; a sister, Margaret Hillard of Butler; a stepsister, Rose Hill of Kentucky, and three grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were three brothers, a sister and two stepsisters.

<B>HICKEY </B>— Friends of Paul E. "Abe" Hickey, who died Monday, May 29, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Moore officiating.
