Monday — Christopher Hart, 30, of Butler faces charges in connection with two separate incidents with neighbors on Miller Avenue.Police cited both Hart and Michael Sheaffer, 36, of Butler for simple assault for fighting in the street outside their homes about 5:45 p.m. Saturday.Two days later, Hart about 4:25 p.m. Monday went to the home of another neighbor, Jessica Bowman, and allegedly beat on her door for several minutes. Police had previously warned Hart not to have any contact with Bowman, who was a witness in Saturday's fight.Police cited Hart for trespass stemming from Monday's incident.Monday — Police reported Stacey Ann Davis, 22, of Butler was charged for allegedly lying to authorities when she claimed that a city man sexually assaulted her last month. She is charged with making false reports to law enforcement authorities.
12:05 a.m. Monday — Two people were injured in a crash on Kittanning Street near Portman Road.Police said Michael Raisley, 20, and Jerald Lorenz, 24, both of Butler, were in a car that was struck by another car, driven by Gregory Miller Jr., 21, of Butler. Raisley and Lorenz were taken with unknown injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital and transferred to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Their conditions were not known this morning.
5:20 p.m. Sunday — A pickup truck driven by Ralph Pennington, 51, of Renfrew struck a tree along Riebold Road near Nursery Road in Forward Township. The pickup, after hitting the tree, spun around and struck another free. Police said Pennington fled the scene after the crash, which remains under investigation.Sunday — About 30 compact discs valued at $200 were stolen between 6:30 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday from a car at Moraine State Park in Worth Township. The car, owned by Mary Caton of Slippery Rock, had about $500 in damage in the theft.Sunday — The Pioneer Drive-In off Route 8 in Center Township reported the theft of an unspecified amount of money from its office after it was broken into between 1:40 a.m. and 5:35 p.m.Saturday — The Lake Arthur Country Club in Franklin Township reported the theft of an unknown amount of cash from the change holder of a bottled water machine between 11 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday. The lock mechanism of a pop machine also was drilled into but no money was removed.4:17 p.m. Friday — Brian Leinenbach, 34, of Fenelton faces numerous charges following a three-vehicle crash on Route 422 at the Lighthouse facility in Franklin Township.Police said Leinenbach's car pulled out of the Lighthouse parking lot and struck the side of a mini-van driven by Stephen Lesney, 49, of Butler. The crash forced the van into a pickup truck parked on Route 422.Leinenbach drove off after the crash but was later found and charged with accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle. Additionally, he is charged with failure to immediately notify police of an accident, driving with a suspended license-DUIrelated, illegally entering a road, reckless driving, careless driving, and driving without insurance, registration and inspection.11 a.m. Thursday — Narcotics officers arrested two suspected drug dealers at a South Cliff Street home in Butler.Brandon "Froc"Jackson, 26, of Pittsburgh and Tiffany Crawford, 20, of Butler face felony charges stemming from the month-long investigation into alleged drug trafficking at Crawford's home.Both suspects are charged with three counts each of delivery and possession of crack cocaine, three counts of criminal use of a communication facility and two counts of conspiracy.Jackson and Crawford were arraigned and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bond each.
