During its annual Golf Classic fundraiser held recently,

Lifesteps raised nearly $85,000 for the agency's Family Caring Fund.The event, attended by 121 golfers, included lunch, a live auction and skill prizes.The event was held June 12 at the Butler Country Club. Sponsors were Giant Eagle and Amerikohl Mining.

Charles Spangler of Hermitage, a technology education teacher at Slippery Rock Middle School, has been accepted as a member of the National Honor Roll's Outstanding American Teachers for 2005-06.———

<B>Lorraine Worsley </B>and <B>Alex Bealles </B>finished first at the Butler Duplicate Bridge Club game held Thursday. <B>James Klein </B>and <B>Gus Costanzo </B>finished second.
