Frank J. Pishioneri

Frank J. Pishioneri, 92, of Slippery Rock, formerly of Ellwood City, died at 5:53 p.m. Sunday at Orchard Manor in Grove City.

Born March 13, 1914, in Hillsville, he was the son of Guiseppe and Felicia D'Attilo Pishioneri.

He was a television technician who worked from his home. He was employed by the Gen Sales Co., the Ziegler Furniture Store, and U.S. Steel in Ellwood City before becoming a technician.

He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Forestville. He was a graduate of the Lincoln High School Class of 1932.

He served in the Pennsylvania National Guard in the 1930s.

He was a member of the Ellwood City Moose Lodge 93, an avid art painter, a founding officer of the Ellwood City Art Club, sang in the barber shop quartette in New Castle, played the harmonica, was a member of the Save the Barber Shop Quartette Association, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by three daughters, Karen and her husband, Raymond, Pascarella of Apollo, Barbara and her husband, Bradley H.,Porter of Slippery Rock, and Andrea E. and her husband, Anthony C., Carusone of Glenside.

Also surviving are three brothers, Albert and his wife, Lillian, Pishioneri of Freehold, N.J., Earl and his wife, Sylvia, Pishioneri of Florence, Ore., and James and his wife, Ellen, Pishioneri of Ellwood City; two sisters, Mary Tammaro and Betty and her husband, Phillip, Pesce, all of Ellwood City; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Sabesta Pishioneri, whom he married Dec. 23, 1935, and who died April 30, 2005. Also preceding him in death were two sisters, Carrie Ippolito and Giuseppina Pishioneri, and two brothers, Joseph and Bruno Pishioneri.

<B>PISHIONERI</B>— Friends of Frank J. Pishioneri, who died Sunday, May 7, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the<B> Samuel Teolis Funeral Home</B>, 309 Spring Ave., Ellwood City. There will be a Mass of Christian burial at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony Church in Forestville with the Rev. James Armstrong officiating.Burial will be at St. Anthony Cemetery.Those attending the funeral Mass are asked to be at the funeral home by 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
