10:40 a.m. Tuesday — Someone broke into Apex Surfaces on Perry Highway and took $231 in cash from a cabinet that had been pried open.4:12 p.m. Sunday — Police responded to a call of a suspicious man and woman running into the woods near 167 Evergreen Mill Road and coming back out with several items including a guitar, wire and some type of piping.Police searched the area and didn't find the two individuals. Officers, however, did find a door open at a nearby business, Jadco.Police could not find any employees and were unable to determine if anything from the business was missing. Officers could not immediately contact the owner. The incident is still under investigation.7:30 p.m. May 26 — Heather Huffman, 20, of Zelienople reported her vehicle was struck while it was parked in the Freeway Lanes parking lot on Perry Highway.A hole was discovered in the bumper of the vehicle, possibly caused by a trailer hitch, police said.6:14 p.m. May 22 — Carrie Weisser, 31, of 101 Sunset Court, Harmony, was arrested for offenses against the family and children after police witnessed her two children riding an all-terrain vehicle unsupervised near Mercer Road.Police said the two children, ages 12 and 2, were also riding the ATV without helmets. Children under the age of 16 are not permitted by law to ride ATVs without adult supervision, police said.

May 26 — A series of thefts from cars parked along Elm Street on May 25 and 26 were reported. Items taken include cash and a camera valued at $300. Only one of the vehicles was locked.May 20 — Erik Bestwick, 23, of Glendale, Ariz., was arrested for driving under the influence after police saw him driving the wrong way on Midway Alley and Cornish Drive, both one-way streets. His blood alcohol content was 0.152 percent.

2:35 a.m. Saturday — Dave Dezzutti, 41, of Oakmont was arrested for driving under the influence on West Main Street near Elm Street. He was also cited for two counts of general lighting requirements and driving while under suspension.May 26 — John Andrew Newell, 21, of 117 Grosvenor Ave., Butler, was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic stop for a red light violation on East Main Street.3:50 a.m. May 25 — Matthew A. Mahoney, 21, of Allison Park, Allegheny County, was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic stop on South Center Street.11:35 a.m. May 18 — An accident occurred at the intersection of North Street and Princeton Avenue. Traveling on Princeton Avenue, Frank Nemick, 64, of Struthers, Ohio, pulled into the intersection and was struck by a vehicle driven by Darlene Hanna, 53, of 173 Jones Road, Harrisville, who was traveling on North Street. Nemick was cited for failing to yield at a stop sign.May 8 — A Sony CD player and CD amplifier were stolen from a vehicle parked behind 218 S. Broad St. between May 6 and 8. The items belonged to Brandon Chandler of South Broad Street.

2:50 a.m. today — Philip Wayne King, 22, of East Brady was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 68 in Donegal Township.Thursday — Kenya Grant, 25, of Pittsburgh was arraigned on felony drug charges for allegedly selling crack cocaine to an undercover narcotics officer at the Buffalo Plaza on Route 356 in Buffalo Township.Grant's arrest followed a controlled drug buy about 2 p.m. Wednesday at the shopping plaza. Police noted the drug deal occurred close to the Freeport High School.Grant is charged with delivery of 3 grams of crack, possession of 6 grams of crack, and criminal use of a communication facility. He is in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bond, stemming from the charges as well as a probation violation.Thursday — Five motorists were stopped for driving more than 30 mph over the posted speed limit, during traffic enforcement details in May.In two of the cases, Kyle Hansen, no age given, of South Jordan, Utah, was charged with traveling 102 mph in a 55 mph zone, and Johnny Hillwig, no age given, of East Brady was charged with going 59 mph in a 25 mph zone.6:40 p.m. Wednesday — Curtis Flynn, 58, of Cheswick, Allegheny County, was arrested for driving under the influence and other traffic violations on Neupert Road in Jefferson Township.5:15 p.m. Wednesday — Acar driven by an Harrisville girl, who police did not identify, struck a utility pole along Harmony Road in Mercer Township.4:30 p.m. Wednesday — Debra Mulig, 47, of Ellwood City, Lawrence County, was arrested for allegedly taking merchandise from the JCPenney and Bath and Body Works stores at the Clearview Mall in Center Township, and then returning the items for refunds.Mulig was arraigned on felony retail theft, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $7,500 bond.Wednesday — About 10 lawn plants were stolen between May 24 and Wednesday from the Cornelius Road home of Patricia Anderson in Worth Township.Tuesday — An unknown burglar took nearly $400 in loose change from the Brady Hills Trailer Court home of Penny Seybert in Brady Township. The burglary occurred between noon and 8 p.m.
