3:03 a.m. Sunday — Benjamin Sullivan, 23, of Jefferson Township was arrested for driving under the influence on Center Avenue. In addition to DUI, Sullivan is charged with disregarding traffic lanes.
7:38 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Genevieve Balicki, 84, of Cabot struck a light post in the parking lot at Mason's Auto Sales, Routes 356 and Marwood Road in Jefferson Township. Balicki was cited for an undisclosed traffic violation.3:30 a.m. Tuesday — Someone broke into an office at Gaiser's Truck Stop on Route 422 in Clearfield Township. The office was ransacked but it was not known if anything was taken in the burglary.12:13 a.m. Tuesday — An unknown man tried to pass a counterfeit $20 bill to pre-pay for gas at the Kwik Fill station on North Main Street Extension in Center Township. An alert cashier, however, recognized the phony bill and no services were rendered.The suspect left in a white Jeep Cherokee. He is described as white, about 6 feet, 2 inches tall and 175 pounds. He has short, blonde hair, and was wearing shorts and a polo shirt.Tuesday — A burglar made off with $407 in currency at Wookie's Pizza on Route 422 in Summit Township.Tuesday — Police reported that several undisclosed items were taken in a burglary at unlocked North Main Street garage in Harrisville. Paul Christmann of Harrisville owns the garage. Police do not know when the burglary occurred.4:30 a.m. Monday — Someone on Interstate 79 in Worth Township threw a rock that hit and smashed a passenger side window of a tractor-trailer. The driver of the vehicle, who police did not identify, was not hurt. U.S.Food Service of Freedom, Beaver County, owns the vehicle.Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the barracks at 724-284-8100.Sunday — An unknown vandal between 10:30 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. Sunday spray painted "AESTHETIQ" on the rear of the B&EMini Mart building on Evans City Road in Connoquenessing Township.Friday — Joshua Kobert reported that a Glock pistol was stolen between May 21 and Friday from his Herman Road home in Summit Township.11 p.m. May 19 — Richard Steighner, 51, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 38 in Center Township.
9:26 a.m. Tuesday — A33-year-old North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County, woman died of an apparent medical condition she suffered about 8:30 p.m. Sunday at her Pony Farm Road home.Mary Ann Graff was pronounced dead at ACMH Hospital in Kittanning. State police said authorities believe Graff suffered a fatal seizure; foul play in the death has been ruled out.7:15 a.m. Tuesday — No one was injured in a four-vehicle crash on Route 28 at the Exit 13 ramp in East Deer Township, Allegheny County.The crash occurred when a sport utility vehicle driven by Lisa Zell, 44, of Export, Westmoreland County, hit the rear of a car driven by Kathleen Goehring, 28, of Freeport. Apickup truck driven by Randall Beltrami, 43, of Butler then struck the rear of Zell's vehicle; moments later another pickup, driven by Edward Freyermuth, 42, of New Kensington struck Beltrami's vehicle.
