4:55 p.m. Thursday — Jean Fraser of Butler reported a hit-and-run accident in which an unknown vehicle struck her car while it was parked overnight on Mercer Street.9:30 a.m. Monday — Peggy Parker of Butler reported a hit-and-run accident in which an unknown vehicle struck her car while it was parked overnight on West New Castle Street.7:56 a.m. Monday — A Valley Lines bus driven by Melissa Fleske, 36, of Butler struck a parked car owned by Leslie George of Butler on West North Street. The impact broke off the car's driver's side mirror, cracked its windshield and dented its door. No one was injured.2:02 p.m. Wednesday — Larry Cox, 44, of Butler was charged with manufacturing a controlled substance after police found four potted marijuana plants at his residence at 412 S. Main St., Apt. 5. Police were searching the apartment for a wanted suspect unrelated to these charges when they found the plants in plain view on the bedroom floor. The wanted suspect was not found.

Tuesday — Right Electric reported the theft of four spools of copper wire from its Winfield Township site on Marwood Road between midnight Monday and 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. Anyone with information about the theft should call state police at 724-284-8100.

7:56 a.m. Tuesday — A vehicle driven by Damon A. Smith, 29, of 126 Beam Crest Lane, Evans City, was traveling on Lindsay Road near the intersection with Ramsey Road, when it struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Lisa R. Brown, 40, of 227 Oberlin Drive, Butler. No injuries were reported. Smith's vehicle was towed while the other vehicle had minor bumper damage. Smith was cited for failing to drive at safe speeds.

2:40 a.m. Sunday —- Joshua Shane Dapper, 24, of 253 Magill Road, Zelienople, was arrested on narcotics-related charges following a routine traffic stop. Dapper was a passenger in the vehicle that was stopped near North Green Lane after police witnessed the female driver make an illegal turn on North Main Street. The driver was not charged. Upon a search of the vehicle, police found two needles, a bottle cap with cotton balls and 10 metal spoons.10:03 a.m. Saturday —- Lynn Schweinegruber, 68, of 409 Pattison St., Evans City, reported the theft of a truck tool box that had been in front of her parent's garage at 209 Walnut St. The value of the box was $50.2:58 a.m. May 16 —- Matthew Adam Gerginski, 22, of 350 Little Creek Road, Jackson Township, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and/or a controlled substance following an accident in which Gerginski's vehicle struck the driver's side of a tractor trailer truck that was delivering auto parts at Kasing's Dodge near Main Street in Harmony. The truck driver, Rafal Rasiak, of Parma, Ohio, was not injured.12:47 a.m. May 11 —- Sandra Ann Armstrong, 44, of 201 Pittsburgh St., Zelienople, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop on East Beaver Street in Harmony.10:15 a.m. May 6 —- Lorene Moore, no age available, of 136 Old Little Creek Road, Harmony, reported her purse was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked in front of the Harmony Antiques House, 333 Perry Highway, Harmony. The purse contained $300 and credit cards.
