1:25 a.m. Thursday — Nancie Lee Lucco, 51, of Butler was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Center Avenue.11 p.m. Wednesday — Philip Holmes, 43, of Duquesne was charged as a fugitive from justice. When police arrested Holmes for public drunkenness at the intersection of North and Main streets, he was in violation of probation for robbery in Sacramento, Calif. He was placed in Butler County Prison on a $100,000 bond until he can be extradited.
Sunday — A pickup truck driven by Kenneth Simon, 43, of Gibsonia was traveling on Rockdale Road in Penn Township when it struck a bridge and overturned, pinning Simon. Penn Township Volunteer Fire Department extricated Simon from the truck. He was taken by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital.8:43 a.m. Sunday — A pickup truck driven by Kevin Groves, 19, of Fombell was traveling on Pleasant Hill Road in Lancaster Township when it struck a mailbox post, drove through a yard and overturned. Groves was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. He was cited for not driving at a safe speed.7:05 a.m. Wednesday — A van driven by Phillip Lehnard, 54, of Butler and a pickup truck driven by George Colosimo, 45, of Renfrew collided at the intersection of Route 68 and Stevenson Road in Connoquenessing Township. No injuries were reported. Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Lehnard was cited for not yielding the right-of-way while making a left turn.2:11 a.m. Thursday — Lawrence Sommers, 25, of Butler was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop at the intersection of New Castle Street and Route 356.
