Mabel and L. James Vensel

L. James and Mabel Vensel will celebrate 50 years of marriage with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. June 11 at Fairview Township Municipal Building.

The former Mabel Levier married Vensel on June 2, 1956, at the home of the bride's parents.

They have two children, Paula Dorr of Petrolia and Eric Vensel of Emlenton. They also have four grandchildren.

Vensel retired from Penreco in Karns City in 1991.

Mrs. Vensel is a homemaker.

The couple belongs to Fairview United Presbyterian Church.
