4:52 p.m. Friday — A pickup truck driven by Thomas A. Brockman Jr., 38, of Fenelton and a vehicle driven by Dennis Ryan, 20, of Fenelton collided at the intersection of East Jefferson and Linden streets. No injuries were reported.12:07 a.m. May 6 — A van driven by Amanda Mellish of East Butler struck a parked car owned by Tracy Mohan of Butler on Spang Avenue. Mellish allegedly fled the scene, but was later found by police. Damage to the van matched marks left on the car.1:56 p.m. Saturday — Cynthia McCall of 127 Fourth Ave. reported the theft of her son's green Kawasaki 24-inch mountain bike, valued at $120, from her yard between 2 a.m. and 8 a.m.9:55 p.m. Friday — Kimberly Doerr, 48, was charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest after police responded to a complaint. After arriving at Doerr's residence at 304 Kaufman Drive, a patrolman was pushed by Doerr. She then punched him in the stomach while yelling profanities. While being arrested, Doerr continued to kick, spit and attempt to punch the patrolman. She was arraigned before District Judge Wayne Seibel and placed in Butler County Prison on a $1,000 bond.5:10 p.m. May 15 — Robert David, 54, of Butler was charged with theft, fraud for altering an inspection sticker and illegal use of a registration after police received a call about a stolen registration sticker. David allegedly stole the registration sticker off a license plate on a vehicle owned by Lewis Peoples of Butler. While police were at David's residence at Terrace Apartments, they noticed his vehicle's inspection sticker was altered with a pencil. The vehicle is registered to an out-of-state resident.10:41 a.m. Sunday — Keith Reges, 19, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for simple assault from District Judge Pete Shafer's office. After police found Reges walking on South McKean Street, he was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana. Police found a half-smoked marijuana cigarette tucked in his watchband. Reges was placed in Butler County Prison on two $1,000 bonds.
3:55 p.m. April 30 — An SUV driven by Janet Shilling, 57, of Butler was traveling on Route 308 in Center Township when it struck a ditch and overturned. Shilling had unspecified injuries. She was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and possession of drug paraphernalia.4:12 p.m. Thursday — A vehicle driven by William Mellish, 34, of East Butler was traveling on Fairmont Road in Fairview Township when it hit a hillside and a tree before overturning. Mellish, who was not wearing a seat belt, was treated for a hand injury at Butler Memorial Hospital and released. A 6-year-old boy passenger, who was not wearing a seat belt, was treated for head injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital. A 2-year-old girl passenger, who was not wearing a seat belt, and a 1-year-old girl passenger, who was in a car seat, were not injured. A fourth passenger, Diane McCallister, 29, of Karns City, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated for back pain at Butler Memorial Hospital and released. Mellish was charged with driving under the influence, aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of children, recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct, driving while under DUI suspension, making false reports, not using restraints and careless driving. He was placed in Butler County Prison on a $10,000 bond.12:45 a.m. Monday — Christopher B. Reed, 22, of Grove City was charged with driving under the influence, not driving a vehicle at a safe speed, not driving within the lane and careless driving following a traffic stop on Springfield Church Road in Jackson Township.Sunday — Gerald Bisson, 37, of Parker reported the windows of his vehicles, which were parked on Slater Road in Allegheny Township, were smashed between 1 a.m. and 1 p.m. Anyone with information should call state police at 724-284-8100.State Police, Lawrence8:14 p.m. April 19 — Five people were caught attempting to cut a Penn Power electrical line at an Ellwood City residence on Shaffer Road. Eric R. Jones, 19, of New Castle, Stephen R. Dorr, 22, of New Castle and a 17-year-old Slippery Rock male, who allegedly stole a piece of copper wire from the residence of Chester J. Frew, 62, were blocked from fleeing by witnesses blocking them in with their vehicles. Daniel A. Deal, 18, of New Castle and Margaret Sue Esposito, 19, of New Castle were arrested soon after on Frew Road. Jones and Dorr were charged with corruption of minors, possessing instruments of crime, theft, criminal attempt, criminal conspiracy, criminal mischief and criminal trespass. Deal and Esposito were charged with possessing instruments of crime, criminal conspiracy and criminal trespass. Charges against the 17- year-old are pending review by Lawrence County Juvenile Probation.6:19 p.m. May 16 — A tractor trailer driven by Robert Crawford, 49, of Evans City was traveling on Route 422 in Shenango Township when it left the road to avoid a collision with a vehicle driven by Ashley Polding, 21 of New Castle, which was turning into the parking lot of Hitters Hackers and Hoops. The truck struck a vehicle driven by Rochelle Chieze, 39, which was trying to exit the lot. Chieze's vehicle was pushed into several parked vehicles. Crawford and Chieze were taken to Jameson Hospital in New Castle for treatment of unspecified injuries.11:40 p.m. Wednesday — A Jeep driven by Colleen Corner, 36, of Grove City was traveling on Route 208 when it slid across the road and hit an embankment before overturning into a ditch. Corner told police she swerved to avoid hitting a deer. She was taken by New Wilmington Ambulance to Grove City Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. The Volant Volunteer Fire Department assisted.
