Anna Farinelli of Prospect celebrated her 80th birthday recently with a surprise party attended by family and friends in the fellowship hall of the Presbyterian Church of Prospect.

The former Anna McKinnis was born April 8, 1926, in Prospect. She married Carl Farinelli on Nov. 5, 1947. He is deceased.

She has two children, Judith McCandless of Butler and Tom Farinelli of Pasadena, Md. She also has six grandchildren.

Mrs. Farinelli is retired from Slippery Rock School District, where she worked as a cafeteria manager at Prospect Elementary School, now Moraine Elementary.

She is a life member of Presbyterian Church of Prospect and Mount Chestnut Senior Center.
