Stanley Pakutz
Stanley Pakutz, 79, of Pillow Street died Tuesday at the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Born Jan. 22, 1927, in Lyndora, he was a son of John and Tillie Hollup Pakutz.
He had worked at Armco-Butler Works for 35 years, retiring in 1989.
Mr. Pakutz was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, where he was a former usher.
He was a World War II Army veteran and a life member of the American Legion Post 778 in Lyndora and the VFW Post 249 in Butler. He was also a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 64 in Butler.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Isovitsch Pakutz, whom he married June 10, 1950; a son, Stanley J. Pakutz and his wife, Connie, of Butler; a daughter, Mrs. Russell (Kathy) Barger of Butler; and a brother, Nick Pakutz of Lyndora. He also is survived by four grandchildren, Mrs. Jim (Kerri) Bryer of North Versailles and Brian J. Pakutz and Kristina M. and Braden A. Barger, all of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers.
<B>PAKUTZ</B> — Friends of Stanley Pakutz, who died Tuesday, April 18, 2006, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St. Burial will follow in the St. Peter Parish Cemetery.The Women's Council of St. Peter will recite the rosary at 9:10 a.m. Saturday at the church.Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice Unit of the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 325 New Castle Road, Butler, PA 16001.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
