5 p.m. Wednesday — Chad Weckerly, 24, was arrested for allegedly assaulting his wife, Robin Weckerly, at the couple's Century Street home in Parker, Armstrong County.Weckerly remains in the Armstrong County Jail on charges of simple assault and harassment. He is also wanted on a warrant issued out of Missouri.2:43 p.m. Wednesday — Cars driven by Simon Miller, 19, of Fenelton and John Krauland, 25, of Wexford collided at Keasey and Jones roads in Winfield Township. Miller was cited for a stop sign violation.7 p.m. Tuesday — Acar driven by Rebecca Murtha, 22, of Clarion struck a concrete barrier on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township and then crashed into a concrete retaining wall.4:55 p.m. Tuesday — Acar driven by Herbert Evans, 70, of Portersville struck the rear of a sport utility vehicle on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township. The SUV, driven by Hanna Chapman, 21, of Wexford was stopped due to an earlier crash.The first crash happened about two minutes earlier when an SUVdriven by Brandon Jones, 20, of Pittsburgh struck the rear of a car driven by Gay Vroble, 57, of Amity.4:39 p.m. Tuesday — Acar driven by Michael Hughes, 34, of Emlenton struck a utility pole along Route 38 in Eau Claire. Hughes, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken with minor injuries to Grove City Medical Center.11:20 a.m. Tuesday — Atractor-trailer driven by Donald Peterson, 50, of Meadville, Crawford County, and a car driven by Perry Altimire, 60, of Eau Claire collided on Route 308 near Route 58 in Marion Township.Tuesday — A large, aluminum, diamond-plate tool box was taken between 5:30 p.m. Monday and 9:45 a.m. Tuesday from Viking Trailer on Evans City Road in Connoquenessing Township. Business owners Bill and Greg Whittenberger have offered a $1,000 reward for information about the theft and a previous theft of tool boxes.Sunday — An unknown thief stole 94 barrels of crude oil, valued at $6,415, from a transfer tank in a field off Allegheny Church Road in Allegheny Township. Betty Jean Blauser of Parker owns the oil that was taken between May 11 and Sunday.Police asked well owners in the area to report any suspicious vehicles around their property.May 12 — A26-year-old Harmony man is suspected of stealing an Ingersoll-Rand 411 ImpactTool, valued at $300, from a garage at the Evans City Road home of James Reese, who later recovered the tool at a Beaver Falls pawnshop in Beaver County. Police continue to investigate the theft.May 7 — Christopher Miller, 19, of Chicora was arrested for allegedly threatening three teenagers at Chicora Park on West Slippery Rock Street in Chicora.Police said Miller confronted the teens about a harassment case against his brother, and threatened to kill the youths if they "got his brother in trouble,"a police report saidMiller is charged with three counts of intimidation of witnesses, two counts each of simple assault and disorderly conduct, as well as terroristic threats, harassment and resisting arrest. He was arraigned on charges and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bond.

6:19 p.m. Wednesday — A17-year-old Mercer boy, who police did not identify, was injured when he crashed his go-kart on Old Ash Road in Springfield Township, Mercer County.The boy was taken to Grove City Medical Center with injuries that police described as moderate. His condition was not known this morning.Police said the teen was illegally driving the go-kart south on Old Ash Road when he skidded on the wet road and rolled the vehicle.

3:35 p.m. Monday — Police responded to a three-vehicle accident on Lindsay Road near the entrance to IA Construction. A vehicle driven by Doris Maitland, 66, of 119 Elgie Drive, Center Township, had slowed for a vehicle making a left onto Jo Deener Drive, when she was struck from behind when a vehicle driven by Kenneth D. Graham, 44, of Newnan, Ga., couldn't stop in time because of the slowing traffic and collided with a vehicle driven by Mark Connolly, 35, of 6200 Crestmont Dr., Penn Township, causing a chain-reaction accident. Light damage to moderate damage was reported to the three vehicles.No injuries were reported. Graham received a traffic citation for failing to drive at safe speeds.1:30 a.m. Saturday — Eric M. Wenzel, 38, of 103 Lollipop Lane, Brady Township, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop on Little Creek Road.9:55 a.m. May 12 — Police said a vehicle driven by Evan Jameson Brown, 19, of 447 Overbrook Road, Middlesex Township, was traveling on Mercer Road when it pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by Raymond Frank Balcom, Jr., 27, of New Castle, who was traveling on Little Creek Road.No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Brown was cited for failing to obey stop signs and yield signs.3:40 p.m. May 7 — Mathew S. Shabella, 21, of 125 Schar Road reported the tires of his vehicle were slashed with a knife while it was parked at his residence.

Sunday — Earl Leonard Franklin III, 26, of North Liberty Road was arrested for allegedly showing explicit sexual pictures to a 16-year-old in July or early August. Police charged Franklin with corruption of minors and obscene and other sexual materials and performance.State Police, ClarionMonday — Mark Simpson, 41, of East Brady reported the theft of a .22-caliber Heritage Arms revolver from his residence that occurred between April 1 and 14. Police did not provide the address. Police are investigating.
