E. Samuel Sahli Sr.

E. Samuel Sahli Sr., 84, of Richland Township died Monday at his home.

Born Sept. 29, 1921, in Lancaster Township, he was the son of Harry E. and Mabel Bhame Salhi.

He was a World War II Navy veteran and had worked at People's Natural Gas Co. for more than 32 years.

Mr. Sahli was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Gibsonia, the VFW Post 7505 in Mars and the American Legion Post 548 in Richland Township.

Surviving are his children, Jane E. Goldbach of Richland Township, Karen J. Smith of Ohio, Loreen Bowers of Ross Township and E. Samuel Sahli, Jr. of Ingomar; and his siblings, Mildred Molnar of Butler, Grace Tyson of Richland Township, Marie Molnar of Valencia and Jean Quinn of Florida. He also is survived by 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

His wife, Doreen J. Connor Sahli, died Jan. 4, 2004. He also was preceded in death by three brothers.

<B>SAHLI </B>— Friends of E. Samuel Sahli Sr., who died Monday, April 17, 2006, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Schellhaas Funeral Home</B>, 5864 Heckert Road, Richland Township. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Darcy Hawk and the Rev. Dennis Molnar, officiating.
