5:30 p.m. Sunday — Derek Ekis, 20, of Grove City was injured when his motorcycle crashed and slid about 200 feet at Route 422 and Mushroom Mine Road in West Franklin Township, Armstrong County. Ekis, who was wearing a helmet, was treated for major road burn to his body at ACMH Hospital in Kittanning.

7:15 p.m. Sunday — Bablyn Fleming, 39, was arrested for allegedly hitting Patricia Holland, 57, with a dinner plate at Fleming's Jackson Center-Polk Road home in Worth Township, Mercer County. Holland suffered head injuries. Fleming is charged with aggravated assault.5:20 p.m. Sunday — A sport utility vehicle driven by James Yashinski, no age given, of Oil City slid off Route 965, struck an embankment and rolled five times, landing onto its roof in Worth Township, Mercer County.Police said a sudden hail storm made the road slippery and caused the crash. Yashinski and a passenger, Lisa Yashinski, no age given, of Oil City, suffered minor injuries; both were wearing seat belts.
