Ada V. Murray
Ada V. Murray, 94, of 1283 McNaughton Road, Rimersburg, died at 3:30 a.m. Friday at Clarion Hospital.
Born April 2, 1912, in Sligo, she was the daughter of Clinton and Iva Snow Eshbaugh.
She was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother.
She was a member of the Curllsville United Methodist Church and she enjoyed gardening, crocheting and doing puzzles.
Surviving are three daughters, Betty Jane Mortimer and her husband, Chester, of Rimersburg, Peggy Hilliard of Knox and Sally Henry and her husband, Larry, of Karns City; four sons, Dean Murray and his wife, Shirley, of Rimersburg, James Murray and his wife, Eva, of Clarion, Larry Murray of Rimersburg and Dennis Murray and his wife, Jackie, of West Middlesex; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and three step-great-great grandchildren; a sister, Edna Elder of Sligo; and many nieces and nephews.
She was married Jan. 25, 1930, to Ellis Murray, who preceded her in death Jan. 19, 1972.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Ila Carberry, Mildred Miley, Myrna Myers and Mary Shontz; five brothers, John, Gerald, Harry, Gilbert and Leslie Eshbaugh; and one great-grandson, Michael Murray.
<B>MURRAY— </B>Friends of Ada V. Murray, who died Friday, April 14, 2006, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at the <B>VARNER FUNERAL HOME</B>, Sligo. There will be no visitation on Sunday. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home with the Rev. Jerry Belloit, pastor of the Curllsville United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Sligo Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the Curllsville United Methodist Church.
