Rose Glyndora Davis

Rose Glyndora Davis, 83, of Wintergreen Drive in Butler Township died at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Born in DuBois, May 24, 1922, she was the daughter of Lewis and Eva Boring Ferrier.

She was a homemaker and an alumna of East Brady High School. She enjoyed ceramics, crafts, playing cards, sewing, reading and her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, Lewis E. Davis, whom she married April 4, 1979; two daughters, Mrs. Ross (Carol) Franzen of Apple Valley, Minn., and June Rice Chuba of Renfrew; two sons, Jack Rice of Butler and Joseph Rice of Huntington Beach, Calif.; three step-daughters, Mrs. Henry (Carol) Twentier and Mrs. Michael (Kathy) Kondos, both of Butler, and Mrs. Kinneth (Donna) Kirk of Jay, Fla.; and three stepsons, Raymond Davis of Butler, Lewis G. Davis of West Sunbury and a special thank you to William Davis of Butler.

She also is survived by eight grandchildren, including a special granddaughter, Heather Connor of Butler; 11 great-grandchildren; and a number of step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

A stepdaughter, a sister and two brothers preceded her in death.

<B>DAVIS</B>— There will be no public visitation for Rose Glyndora Davis, who died Wednesday, April 12, 2006. Services will be private, and burial will be at Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.Arrangements are being handled by the <B>Thompson-Miller funeral Home</B> and are available at www.thompson-miller.com.
